How to import your whole case board at once

In short

The Import page takes a whole board at once, two ways. Barcode import runs your Bar Council registration — state code, barcode, year — against the chosen district court and returns every case standing against that bar ID. Case-number import takes a typed list, up to 200 registrations per run. Nothing is tracked until you review the results and tap Track All Selected. A big barcode search runs for several minutes; the progress bar sitting at 0/0 means it is still searching, not stuck.

Adding cases one by one is fine for a litigant with two matters. A practice has a board — and the board deserves a bulk door. The Import page is that door, and it works from the two things a chamber already has: the advocate's Bar Council registration, and the office's list of case numbers.

Import by barcode

Pick the State and District of the court, then enter the Bar Council registration: the state code (like DL), the barcode number (like D/1234/2015), and the year. Find My Cases then asks the court's records for every case standing against that bar ID in that district.

Note: a big barcode search takes several minutes, and the progress bar can sit at "0/0" the whole time — the count is unknown until the court's search completes, so 0/0 means "still searching", not "stuck". One import runs at a time.

The Case No. tab takes the office list directly: choose the state, district and court complex, then enter registration numbers grouped by year — up to 200 cases per run.

Review, then track the lot

The search returns cases as cards — nothing is tracked yet. Look the list over, drop what is not yours, and Track All Selected. Each tracked case then carries its own next date, reminders and WhatsApp updates, exactly as if added one by one.

Caution: tracked cases count against your plan. A free account tracks two — an import that returns forty will track up to your limit and tell you plainly how many were skipped. Daily import budgets also apply, smallest on the free plan; a full board is Advocate-plan-and-up territory.

FAQ

What is the "barcode" the import asks for?

Your Bar Council registration identity — the state code, registration number and year (the form shows the shape: DL, D/1234/2015, 2015). The court's records link cases to that bar ID, which is what makes one search return a whole board.

The progress bar says 0/0 — is the import stuck?

No. For a barcode run the total is unknown until the court's search finishes, so the bar shows 0/0 while it works. Big boards take several minutes; the results appear when the search completes.

Do imported cases count against my plan's case limit?

Tracked ones do. The import shows everything it found, but only what you track occupies a slot — a free account holds two cases, paid plans hold a full board.

Why did my import skip some cases?

The usual reason is the plan cap: tracking stopped at your limit and the rest were skipped, with a note saying how many. Upgrade or free slots, then track the remainder from the same results.
