NCLT and NCLAT (Company Law Tribunals) — check case status & get hearing alerts

CourtWatch finds and tracks cases before the National Company Law Tribunal and the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, bench by bench.

At a glance

Search a case before the NCLT and NCLAT by case number, party name, advocate name, filing number (NCLT), diary number (NCLAT) or company CIN (NCLT).

An NCLT case can also be found from the company's CIN, which helps when you know the company but not the case number.

What CourtWatch can do for NCLT and NCLAT

Search

Find a case by case number, party name, advocate name, filing number (NCLT), diary number (NCLAT) or company CIN (NCLT). Results come back with the parties, the stage and the next date.

Note: Pick the bench first: the tribunals search one bench at a time. An NCLT advocate search also needs the year.

Hearing alerts

Track an NCLT or NCLAT case and CourtWatch keeps re-checking it. You get a WhatsApp reminder the evening before and the morning of every hearing, and an update the same day a date changes or an order is uploaded.

Hearing history and orders

An NCLT or NCLAT case opens with its hearing history, date by date. Where an order has been published for a hearing, it opens from the case file.

Tracking an NCLT or NCLAT case, start to finish

1

Find the case

Search by case number, party name, advocate name, filing number (NCLT), diary number (NCLAT) or company CIN (NCLT) — the same identifiers the tribunal's own website asks for when you check tribunal case status by hand. The case comes back with its parties, stage and next date.

2

Add it to your list

One tap puts the case on your dashboard. Following your own case is free (up to two cases); lawyers get a 10-day full-access trial, no card.

3

Let the updates come to you

CourtWatch re-checks tracked cases and sends a WhatsApp reminder the evening before and the morning of every hearing, and an update the same day a date changes or an order is uploaded, so you stop re-opening the portal to find out whether anything moved.

FAQ

How do I check the status of an NCLT case?

Pick the NCLT bench, then search by case number, filing number, party name, advocate name or the company's CIN. The case opens with its parties, stage, next hearing date and hearing history.

Can I track an NCLAT appeal?

Yes. Pick New Delhi or Chennai and search by case number, diary number, party name or advocate name. Add the appeal to your list and it is re-checked like any other case.

Can I read the tribunal's orders?

Where the tribunal has published an order for a hearing, it opens from the case file. Where nothing opens, no copy has been published for that hearing yet.

Will I be told about the next hearing?

Track the case. CourtWatch keeps re-checking it and sends a WhatsApp reminder the evening before and the morning of every hearing, and an update the same day a date changes or an order is uploaded.

Put your NCLT and NCLAT matters on one page and stop checking the portal by hand. Free for litigants following their own case (up to two); lawyers get 10 days of full access, no card.
